How We Work

The SIC Method

A three-stage pipeline from first contact to lasting impact — designed around Kenya's communities, not the other way around.

Stage 01

ACCESS

We provide access to creative spaces and resources through our mobile labs — equipping any school across Kenya. No computer lab, no Wi-Fi, no budget for equipment required. If you have students, we have a program.

STEM Impact Academy
  • Mobile lab visits to schools across 47 counties
  • No infrastructure or prior equipment needed
  • Open to all learners from age 5
  • Reaching underserved communities — Turkana, Garissa, coastal regions
  • Saturday STEM Club at our Upperhill Nairobi center for families

Stage 02

EXPLORE

Hands-on discovery through three age-scaffolded tracks that grow with every student — from screen-free play at age 5 to industry-grade prototyping at 17. Every track is project-based: students build and create, not just observe.

Saturday STEM Club
  • STEM Explorers (5–8): screen-free robotics, OctoStudio creative coding
  • Tech Innovators (9–14): LEGO SPIKE, VEX IQ, Arduino, App Development
  • Future Engineers (15+): Raspberry Pi, AI, CAD/Fusion 360, Web Development
  • Competitions baked in — WRO, VEX, STEAM Maker Fair
  • Teacher training runs in parallel — skills stay after the lab leaves

Stage 03

INSPIRE

Through outreach programs and competitions, learners showcase their acumen publicly — then enter careers, launch startups, and become the role models who inspire the generation behind them. Alumni return as mentors and coaches.

Youth Programs
  • WRO Kenya — national championship, competing for Kenya's global spot
  • VEX Robotics, STEAM Maker Fair, AI Hackathons
  • Tech Skills Sandbox — 3-month bootcamp leading to employment
  • 45+ startups launched, $2.4M seed funding raised
  • Workplace Readiness — internships and employer connections

How It All Started

What began as a bold idea to bring STEM education to underserved communities has grown into a national movement transforming thousands of young lives.
