Our story
STEM Impact Center Kenya works to ignite youths passion for STEM and equipping young minds with critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills. Skills they require to not only thrive in the future workforce but also foster innovation and entrepreneurship, ultimately driving economic growth and a skilled Kenyan workforce.
We work in the following ways.
Mobile Tinkering Lab: we run a unique mobile tinkering lab that travels to different communities, providing a creative space and resources for learners and educators to explore STEM fields like coding, physical computing, and more.
Focus on underserved communities: Their programs target students in rural areas, arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs), and low-income communities, aiming to bridge the gap in access to quality STEM education.
Equity and Inclusion: We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all students, regardless of background, and actively promote diversity and inclusion in STEM education
Experiential Learning: approach goes beyond theoretical knowledge, offering project-based learning and opportunities to apply STEM concepts in a practical way.
Teacher Training: We recognize the importance of teachers and provide training to equip educators in these communities with the skills and resources to effectively teach STEM subjects.
